Well, the night makes moves
And it shatters like broken glass
Better play it cool... better let it pass
Have you been screening your smokes?
And whispers in an all night bar
Better off as the fool
Than the owner of that kind of heart

They don't know you anyway
They don't know you and they don't watch you walk away
Just a nobody girl
With a radar to the scene
When the emptiness finds you
You find all the numbers you need
Say you follow your heart
Well, honey you're just being lost
Say you follow your gut
Well, how much would it cost?

They don't know you anyway
They don't know you
And they don't watch you walk away

You're nobody, girl
You're nobody, girl

You're a nobody, girl

The night plays games
And the people they come and go
Well, they trade in their pieces
For a late-night ride on your rodeo
If your horses could talk,
I wonder if they would complain
I know you're rested and ready
They've been going nowhere for days

They don't know you anyway
They don't know you,
They don't even mind the weight

Nobody, girl
You're nobody, girl
Nobody, girl

Hi Lou

After and extensive and in-depth listen to all available live Rosemarys available I'll have to go with this one:

Yup...but just curious, did I miss a joke about "best of" threads or some such?

Hey, Tell! Yes, I'd noticed a number of best-of threads recently, but my post wasn't intended as criticism. It was really just a goof that made me chuckle this morning, so I figured other LMAers might enjoy it.

I fig'd it was tongue in cheek, but didn't know if it was in ref to a specific thread I missed...thanks for filling me in. I did immediately think, "hmmm...three...none of them great, IMHO, so..." (jgl's was a reasonable choice).

I think that was the joke

I can certainly attest that you, as PM, miss nothing.

Question - do you listen to any of the NRPS stuff?

Not much these days--did note your other post though, and it really got me thinking...then, diverged greatly with the "posters vs reviewers" issue I drone on about now and again...so, returning to your theme, what I really love is DEAD and NRPS mixes, ie, Nelson and Marmaduke standing in with the boys...not so much the other direction, such as your show.

I do love a fine Contract (hard to find), but find most of their shows redundant, which given what you know of me, is shocking, as if I am anything, it's that...right?

Oh, and thanks for help with the joke. I need a kick in the head (get it?) regularly...

The Contract in the 73 show I recommended is real nice but does have a cut - I still maintain you should give the "Don't Need No Doctor" track a listen, it's got Kieth, Donna, Jerry & Bob sitting in and is a real rocker - strange intro though - kind of like they are tuning playing around and then it gels.
